What people say…

Warren Eagles is in my opinion the most personal and talented teacher I have encountered in Resolve training. He brings the tool alive and puts it in your hands.
— Stephen, DOP, United States
A truly amazing online course for beginners and advanced users alike. So many great little tips and tricks throughout the classes. Warren’s laid-back attitude makes it fun to watch and learn. Highly recommended.

Warren has coloured my world…...having recently started using Davinci Resolve for film editing, I now understand the basics of colour science, using colour charts and grading. Warren’s expert knowledge and industry experience makes him the ideal person to train the next generation of film-makers. Having recently implemented these skills in my latest film project cut days off my edit schedule. Thanks Warren, you’ve changed my life!
— Quote Andrew Clasohm Director/DP Australia
After many years of color grading in major color suites at top shops, you realize that there are no two colorists who use the same tools in the same workflow. Spending time with Warren exposed me to new grading tricks and techniques that I can include in my pipeline. I’m still creating outstanding grades with my individual hands and eyes, only better and faster.
— Bob Festa, Senior Colorist, Harbor Picture Company, Los Angeles

I just do this as a hobby. I have a Blackmagic full frame and shoot films in and around Edinburgh. I shoot with a wide frame Ziess 15 mm as i like wide shots 2:39
stuff like that… I couldn’t cope with producers breathing down my neck!

I forgot to tell you not only do you tubers talk to fast they play mental music in the background… no matter how good an instruction video is if i hear music I turn it off
it is the ultimate distraction when you are concentrating ……..thankfully you don’t have music.

I would say you are the best instructor

Anybody that says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks hasn’t taken Warren Eagle’s Resolve Courses. As a seasoned linear and non linear online editor focused on Avid finishing, Warren’s Resolve classes have helped my transition to using Resolve for color in my Avid round tripping

I am in the middle of the first section, Cut ‘n’ Color, but I have always found your teaching style to be personable, without being pretentious (I think we all need more of that!). I like that you are a straight shooter and you get right to the point. I like that the lessons are on the shorter side also. I also appreciate that our source media is not all H.264-encoded because it makes a difference to work on content that is not riddled with compression and macroblocking.

I am not a colorist (and do not plan to be), but I have been in post-production for a while and I have been using Resolve since version 15. I always like to keep up on techniques and features in the newer version of Resolve, because you never know when something will answer a problem that a client has, even if I am not directly doing color work for them. Sometimes it could be used to fix a problem rather than necessarily be a color grading method on its own.

Thanks for all you do, and I look forward to all the forthcoming lessons!
